This impressive poster is a composite of satellite images gathered over a one year period taken on cloud free nights. The more populated urban areas shine brightly with night time light emmissions. Some other light sources that show up are savanna fires, natural gas burnoffs, and a blue glow from night fishing off the coast of Argentina and in the sea of Japan.
