Antique Map of the Sunpujo Castle, Japan 1607

Sunpu Castle (also known as Sunpujo Castle in Japanese) was a Castle in Japan located in Shizuoka City.

This feudal fortress was once known as the Castle of the Floating Isle. In history, it has also been refered to as the Fuchu Castle and Shizuoka Castle.

In 1635, most of Sunpu Casltle burned down in a fire. By 1638, the palace, gates and other structures had been reconstructed. Today, it can be found in Sunpu Park.
