Backyard Birds of the Pacific Northwest l Yardia

The Backyard Birds of the Pacific Northwest is a poster invisioned and created by local Seattle artist Brigida Swanson. She presents the image of 12 birds common to our area, and indicates the Common name and the Latin name for each. One of my favorites to see flitting around the yard is the Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus), and it is lovely to hear the music of the Melopiza melodia, commonly known as the Song Sparrow.
