Boothbay Harbor Woodchart

Nautical Wood Chart of Boothbay Harbor is made of layers of carved birch wood to create a 3D bathymetric chart. This portion of the Maine coast has an intricate coastline, where many rivers flow south into the Atlantic Ocean - the Damariscotta River, the Johns River, the Back River and the Sheepscot River. Islands include Southport, Westport, Barter, and Rutherford Island.

The ocean floor is really convoluted around the small outer islands of Damariscove, Fisherman, and Pumpkin Islands. The representation of depth is done with precision cut layers of wood. The Wood Charts come complete with a solid wood frame that is ready to hang on the wall.
